Intermediate Mens Football League at Home next Sunday:
A super first League win for Season 2019 last Sunday saw our Intermediate Men beat Glenville away by a goal (FT Glenville 10points, Kinsale 1-10) - a great start to the league campaign. Next Sunday is a home draw for Kinsale and it would be great to get lots of support on the sidelines and encourage our Intermediates to another big win.

PRESENTATION OF GOLD AWARD FOR THE THIRD YEAR IN A ROW – AMAZING ACHIEVEMENT:
As you know our Club has once again been conferred the GOLD ACCREDITATION AWARD for the 2018 Benchmarking 2020 Vision initiative. This is a fantastic achievement for the club and recognises that Kinsale GAA is now up there with some of the best.
This award is testament to all the hard work being done by all our dedicated and fantastic coaches across all sections of our wonderful club. Our coaches commitment is always above and beyond the call of duty so it’s brilliant to see this hard work honoured and recognised by this prestigious award.
Huge thanks and recognition must also go to all our very hardworking committees who are busy working away in the background shaping the path of Kinsale Gaa’s future and contributed enormously to receiving this award.
Special thanks to Brian Murphy our Club Development Officer who co-ordinated this project - his drive and commitment is endless in working for the club.

Field Committee:
Are you someone who always wanted to volunteer and help out Kinsale GAA Club…………..but Coaching/Training or becoming involved in the Admin side of things namely committees/attending meetings is just not your ‘cup of tea’ or time constraints don’t allow it …………well the following might just be for you!
The club is looking for volunteers to help out with the up-keep/maintenance of the pitches on a regular basis. This would involve cutting the grass, lining the pitches for matches and in general keeping the grounds at Bandon Road and Dunderrow in good condition (all machinery etc provided by club). This job can be shared between as many people as possible and people could arrange their own times for helping out when it suits them.
If this sounds like the ‘type of help’ you would enjoy doing for Kinsale GAA – please contact Laurence Murphy on 087-9056737. With the Season already underway it would be great to get more people involved in helping out. Thank you.

Cork GAA Announce Details of Youth Forum
Cork GAA have unveiled details of a forum for youth players who are aspiring to perform at senior inter county level in the future.
Pairc Ui Chaoimh will host a unique event on Sunday 10th February with an audience drawn from Ladies Football, Camogie and the GAA’s development squads. Players will get advice on nutrition, lifestyle management along with insights in to how county stars such as Rena Buckley and Stephen McDonnell deal with the good and bad days that inter county players encounter.
Chairman of the Cork Health & Well Being Committee, Des Cullinane, pointed out that many of our best club players come in to development squads and may not be the best players in this environment. “Some players can find this difficult to handle and may suffer confidence issues. This forum aims to highlight coping mechanisms for players. Much of our training is centred around the skills of the game, team play and tactics. This forum aims to delve in to areas that traditionally would not be addressed within the squads structure but are just as important in terms of getting the desired performance on the field.”
The forum will also focus on the adult mentors who look after the development squad programmes. Multiple All Ireland winning manager Eamonn Ryan will address the coaches on player management. Of particular attention here is around communication to players within squads but also those who are not selected and how to manage these situations.
The event is sure to be a big success with large numbers of youths expected to attend. Red Fm have come on board as media partners and Cork GAA wish to thank them for their support and coverage of the event.
