A great league win for Kinsale juniors against Shamrocks first team in this junior a football league game. Kinsale went in at half time 2-5 to 0-7 down and though the forwards were performing well enough with the 2 O'Learys and O'Brien and Wright supplying the scores the backs failed to settle. This was to change in the second half as Conor O'Brien found his range and the backs tightned up. Keohane at centre back and Walsh now at midfield made for a more solid looking Kinsale defence. Gearoid Cummins at midfield was working hard and won some great ball. Kinsale fought their way level with Shamrocks and went ahead through a great point from Kevin Kelly, set up brilliantly after some great defensive play from corner back Martin O'Leary. However Shamrocks went down the field and levelled in injury time only for Michael O'Leary and Conor O'Brien to slot over the two clinching points.
